Anyone given these a try?. I think they will look pretty cool on a black car. Question
is, will they work?

not all projectors are the same..

i don't know much about the technology, but they're definitely not xenon's at that price. Audi for eample used to do ellipsoidal "projector" headlights for all A3's, but xenon's only on the S3... they pretty much look identical, but performance difference is marked..

xenon's for example have to have auto-levelling by law so you can't just fit them into any A4, as suggested by the ebay ad.. basic projectors don't need the auto-levelling. Supports the theory that these aren't xenon's.

plus... they'd say if they were - cos xenon's are expensive!

Xenon's require auto levelers when factory fitted. Aftermarket you can get away without

I have had my Xenons fitted for two MOT's and they have never checked if the washer work.

So, do we think these lights are Xenons or not? ;-)

No not Xenon cap. discharge lights.
Standard-type A4 headlight unit to fit any B5 Body is the way I see it.

Had a look on ebay and there are xenon equivalents (or so they claim) for a few dollars more

I have just recently fitted these to my black S4 and they look fantastic but they are definately down in the brightness zone. Very hard to drive fast with at night on country lanes although the use of front fog lights help.
Look really good though.
