Intake Pressure-Tester

Post by UKS4APR1 » Wed Dec 20, 2006 11:23 pm

We all need one of these, inexpensive and easy to make...

http://www.awe-tuning.com/media/pdf/27t ... tester.pdf

May I suggest one of us sources the correct parts to make one and then puts together a few more to sell (at small profit) to other Forum members?
OR (for free) one of us sources the correct parts from (B&Q?) and points the others in the right direction.

Personally I'd like to see a pressure gauge in there too.

What do you think?

Its pretty cheap to buy from Vast (plus shipping, but no hassles) and it comes with the PCV rubber cover:

Regarding making it, incredibly easy, but I have the Vast one so.... :p

Vast want $55-75 inc. to ship to UK (nearly £30 + may get hit for Import tax)
But parts to make must be less than a tenner surely ?

The Awe one is only $25 so not much money at all and should come in at less than import tax.

Having looked at the basic design on the AW site I'm sure something suitable can be crafted reletivly cheaply, and slightly more improved

Are you kidding me, I contacted Mike at vastperformance.com via Audiworld and he has posted me parts to the UK at the same postage rate for the US i.e. $30 shipped for the intake pressure tester.

Email him first to confirm it's OK, but I suspect it is for small items.

Instead of the air-line nozzle...couldn't you use a bolt in tyre valve?

the bolt in tyre valve sounds like a good idea to me, then you can get a tyre pressure gauge and check what you have pressurised the system up to... was just about to suggest that but you beat me to it derdle! nice one...
