That does look good. Something appealing about an FMIC. As in I want one but it doesn't really make sense with my state of tune.

I hope M is doing the driving, you need someone with a foreign license to map that!!

Well give the ONLY car that has beaten me is an M5 (the M3 I had a go with was a bit of a mixed batch of results) - I look forward to a rematch. But like you say viper... people that drive SERIOUSLY fast cars are A: Too scared to drive like a nutter, B: Probably spend their lives being challenged by guys in Focus RS's and other relatively slow cars. I will be sure to show them my MRC 530 badge then challenge them... see if that is enough to get them interested!

Viper - I will drop you a mail - be awesome to see your car in the flesh!

No updates as yet. Given the guys at MRC worked so late, I expect they had a bit of a lie in. Cross fingers they turn the key, the replacement chip fires up no probs (Replaced the MTM chip) - the RS6 EGT code works with my setup and there are no teething problems so they can just crack on with mapping it & get that side of things sorted today. That will leave all the final touches to be done which should not take too long and I can have my baby soon!

Power's going up as the days pass...

Isn't your power going to be somewhat limited by your standard (gutted pre-cat) downpipes or have you changed them now?

Well I'm confused too as the page on the MRC website says MRC500 but the url says MRC530.

Do you actually get a badge?!

Maybe it'a a fancy LCD badge that allows the number to go up and down between 500 and 530 depending on air temp, fuel type etc

I wouldn't go as far as down grading the model (1.9TDi badge), but would prefer the standard badge/street sleeper look, ie leave badged as S4, so it looks like a lowered S4 with nice brakes ......... then, POW, have that M5 ;)

I dunno ... at vmax, although I only managed two runs and had that limiter issue there was only 4 mph in it ... and I was still accelerating before hitting that limiter ...

Can't remember what DavidT's speed was, but it was not much below mine, so, with the right driver, no problem 8)

catch him out of gear or without the 'go faster 'M' button depressed' and you will have a very good chance, also you will surely have more torque, and if it is an endurance race you should win as that M5 has a serious drinking problem!!!!!
