We run the risk of having too many forums.

If we do it for the S4s then we need to do it for all the others..... IMHO.

I understand where you are coming from Phil but this is a site dedicated to Audi S & RS cars so it makes sense to have a forum per model. By model I mean by platform/model name, not just model name.

As an example, all three S4's are completely different cars separated in production by 10 years. Surely that is grounds to give them each their own home ?

Phil something more major DOES need to be done. I can already see confusion creeping into the S4 forum. See the "Picked up my S4" thread.

I just had to re read it to see whether it was about 2.7tt or new V8!

The new S4 is the first new S4 - Car in flipping YEARS mate. I think it will, if handled properly be more a case of the right crowd, and no crowding in that forum.

OK, OK, OK...... Grrrrr. More fecking work.

Let's vote (Voting closes on Friday at 12:00 GMT)

<FORM METHOD=POST ACTION="http://forums.rs246.com/forums/dopoll.php"><INPUT TYPE=HIDDEN NAME="pollname" VALUE="1053531100PhilT">
<p>Model Specific Forums (S4 used as an example)

<input type="radio" name="option" value="1" />S4 for all Audi S4s
<input type="radio" name="option" value="2" />One for each version
<INPUT TYPE=Submit NAME=Submit VALUE="Submit vote" class="buttons"></form>

Are there any other models we _need_ to segregate? i.e. S6/S6+.

Also if those of you who have started threads in the S4 forum, could you post links to the thread and the version of S4 you were discussing. Makes my life a lot easier when I have to moved them. Assuming that we do adopt additional forums.

I think it is good idea, especially considering the latest release of the S4 family.... I just wanted you to think about the consequences .

Like Tim said when he started the thread, think it's a definite step forward in the right direction.

Maybe we could get rid of one of the other forums that isn't used so much - maybe combining the bugs/problems one with the problem logging in one, just a thought to free up some space?

Are there any other models we _need_ to segregate? i.e. S6/S6+.

This one (S6/S6+) should be subdivided for the same reason as S4, but at least the UrS6/S6+ (C4-platform) can be combined with UrS4 since they were all based on the same platform and are generally categorized together. Then a separate forum for the C5-platform S6 (current model). So you'd have only two new/additional forums when it's all said and done (UrS4/S6/S6+ and B6 S4).

I don't see any others that need adjusting. And I still vote for my forum heading suggestion.

Looking promising, guys. With the test drives that people have organised for the 2002 S4 V8 B6 there should be plenty of comments soon

Ow's dat?

Need more UrS4 (C4) posts. I suppose we will have to have seperate forums for the S6 range also.

Can people help me with the model info, i.e. Engine size, cyl config, turbo/na, and bhp.

Thanks.
