where to go

Post by oliew » Thu Dec 14, 2006 10:57 am

hi mate,
be interested to see where you get yours done, mines in need of this too after h&r coilovers now.
my mates garage has the 4wheel alignment laser tools that slot on each wheel, front to back not sure how this compares to the specialist tools?

I'm booked into APS next week - after getting the suspension and ARBs done plus the new brakes and tyres my wheels are well out of alignment - got a quote of between £45 to £65 + VAT all in for the work (dependent upon how long it takes), and they have the latest VAG Beissbarth jobby there - not bad i reckon.

They are good guys in general. As we know the 2.7t is a specialist beast, but for stuff like this I recommend APS in the absence of your preferred garage having the right equipment. Just listen to their MKV Golf R32 too.

Yeah - good tip Graham - thanks. Brackley is only a couple of miles away from me but i was completely unaware of their existence. Not mentioned in yellow pages etc.....

Was going to Stealth but they quoted me £100 + VAT and i couldn't get in till 2 weeks time.

APS website shows them as having the latest VAG set-up as well...

Update on this:

Had my wheels aligned today at APS in Brackley - excellent service, friendly and knowledgeable guys, the latest Beissbarth machine thingy for full 4-wheel alignment - all in all a pro job; highly recomended to anyone looking to get this done.

And the best thing of all? It cost £52 !!!! (all in, including VAT)

I know Paul - I was very impressed with them indeed! If anyone is within reasonable reach of Brackley then give 'em a go if you need wheel alignment done properly (and incredibly inexpensively!) ...
