Just means you've disconnected the battery or the ECU ;)

 YES!....well, temporarily at least - rolskii very kindly lent me his "full" functioning vagcom cable for a while...

That was the only fault found - I will try to do some logs when i get the chance before returning the lead - see if i can justify the highly facetious "Emperor" tag your mate Graham seems so keen to confer on me repeatedly......

Last best FATS time logged was 4.94s - that was with passenger and spare wheel on board. Should be less now it's colder and i'll be solo in the car (and spare wheel removed) - plus i'll use decent gas this time.

Your FATS is what then?

my 4.94 was done prior to the "emperor" mods that i did (MAF de-mesh, de-fogged grilles, cleaned and re-oiled air filter, MAF IPA bath)

I expect the next FATS to be quicker.

Be careful using oil on the filter this can knacker you MAF. I just cleaned mine on a regular basis never oiled it.

RS7 FL best car I've owned. No faith in turbo oil screen (turbos failing) or sticking oil scraper ring causing missfires.

Just been out and done a coupla FATS run - got 4.78s....TWICE in a row!! Was on target for a really good 3rd run but some tw@ pulled out in front of me from a side road.....

Yep - i was pretty careful and only oiled the "dirty" side very lightly (i also gave my MAF sensor an IPA bath about a week after the filter re-charge)

P.S. Got a max MAF reading of 270.75 g/s

Road was flat (slight uphill gradient if anything, but only slight)

Ambient temp was 10deg. on the DIS.

Cheers mate - maybe it'll put a stop to all those snide "emperor" comments from certain contemptible quarters (doubt it though) - there is obviously something to it after all, and it is NOT "the emperors new clothes"!

Q E fuckin' D

Put the mesh back in??? Not a chance mate!!

but do you think you would tho? purely for testing purposes, i duno how long it wud take , i would love to see if that would give lower MAF and fats, cos i would be tempted to do it, i aint got time to go out to do fats lately :o)
