Cheers paul, Its been slow work. I took the calipers back to bare metal and added 4 layers of hight temp enamel. Broke my finger inbetween so its been slow work. Now fitted and working well. Got new pads coming this week and am looking for new discs. They are better than the S4 brakes and will do me fine.

Callipers are looking good h8cak, when buying second hand callipers I would recommend re-building them - new seals and check the pistons for wear Etc This isn't going to cost much to do and well worth it IMHO

Hi I am also looking for a Brake upgrade for my S4 avant after running out of road until i rear ended a mini cooper! Just been reading through the replies but wanted to check what the best option is if i keep the standud 17" avus alloys as they are mint and like the standard look.

I am Running an AP Racing 6 pot set up under Standard 17's, awesome brakes, but expensive, Still they were on the car when I got it so technically cost me nothing. With such apowerful car I cannot now imagine running with anything less.

Fil, what discs and pads have you got in the picture? I need some soon and cant afford the whole set up, so gotta make do with uprated discs and pads for now

Hmmm, its fast but is it fast enough!!!

Hey Jimbo
Don't suppose by any small chance you got your car in March/April this year from Notting Hill did you? As i looked at a silver one with AP racing front brakes + a few more toys but was waiting for funds to clear before i could make a proper offer and by that time it had sold!! doh

@Phil: I noticed in your signature that you have drilled/grooved discs! What make are they and what pads do run with them? Do you find them much better than OEM? Sorry for all the questions, i will be getting some very soon.

I bought some 2nd hand but unused Cayenne calipers from a member off here and matched them with RS4 B5 discs all inc custom brakes lines and pads was about £900. They are awesome brakes and not had any brake fade since.
