Just bought my first RS6

Post by B9Boy » Mon Nov 27, 2006 9:13 pm

Hi,

Just got a blinder of a deal on an RS6 at my local Audi dealership so thought Id join the fold. :D

Im keen to hear from anyone whos had their car breathed on and to hear of your opinions/advice.

Anyone had their car tuned by Superchips?

p.s Anyone know anything of PG03 UGH (my new steer)? I got the website address from a sticker in the back of the car when I picked it up so a good chance that someone does?

Thanks
Elliott

Personally, I would try MRC tuning (www.mrctuning.com) or MTM (if you're feeling flush) over superchips.

Thanks for that. Does an MRC re-map make a big difference? How much noisier is say a Milltek exhaust?

Does an MRC re-map make a big difference?
welcome to fold, it does indeed make a differance, not sure how much on an rs6 but its around 20% increase on my S4 since I had the MRC treatment,

I'd back using an Audi tuner too not a gerneric company like Superchips. IHave a read of the RS6 section, I believe both MRC and APS (not a million miles apart) are popular.

Ive emailed MRC with some questions regarding their re-maps and whilst they sent a read receipt 2 days ago no-one has actually replied to my enquiry- not exactly a great start.

I suppose thats better than I got from ABT who deleted my email without F**g reading it. Dont you love good old fashioned service?!?!?

Ok spoken to them. Got a choice between a generic map (£800) and a custom remap with a Milltek cat back system which sounds good value at £2K. Add in the downpipes and it goes up to £4,000 so sod that.

Has anyone had any problems though when theyve taken their cars into dealers for servicing with the diagnostics or dealers who refuse warranty claims due to the remap and exhausts??

Yep turbos blew on my S4 and as it was chipped Audi rejected the claim. I even bought the car from the dealership chipped. Went all the way to the head of Audi UK!!! They refused - B@stards. That said the RS6 is much less likely to fail and MRC can always reset it to standard if anything ever did go wrong before you sent it in.
