( Revo tuned , S3 , LowBoost 9, Forge Valve )
are there any drivers who has a higher setting than the standard Lowboost 9, wich higher settings is still save and what are the differences in speed and driving compares to the LowBoost 9 ?
i want to try a higher setting, but i'm also afraid that it could damage my car.
SP3 settings, how many higher than LowBoost 9 ?
Re: SP3 settings, how many higher than LowBoost 9 ?
Have you considered emailing Revo, but i think that Revo has a safety limit on all of its programs? not 100% sure though.i want to try a higher setting, but i'm also afraid that it could damage my car.
The Revo SPS S3 owners on here will reply with more info than me so keep a watch on here!

Re: SP3 settings, how many higher than LowBoost 9 ?
yep, i emailed Revo, but i just wonder if there are drivers here who are using other settings than the LowBoost 9 ?

Kriszty,
Sita is running high boost 6 - you should be fine using high boost settings. Where you need to look out is the timing settings you use.
Do you have VAG COM? If not i would recommend investing in that so you can log your cars performance.
High boost settings are more of a strain on your car as in more boost etc, but there is not much in it when compared to low boost settings.
I run low boost 9 because I think its smoother to drive than high boost
Take a look at the REVO boost curve threads...
PS What timing settings are you using?

Re: SP3 settings, how many higher than LowBoost 9 ?
Hi Dunc,
thxs for the reply, i'm just running the standard Revo settings, i assume this is LowBoost 9 and timing 7. i always use octane +98 , but i wonder what is the difference between the Lowboost 9 and for exc. the HighBoost 1 ?
i'm not a traffic-light driver, but i like to drive between 120-150km without the need for shifting back to take over a car, so i wonder what the HighBoost settings can do for me.
greetings from a rainy Holland

Re: SP3 settings, how many higher than LowBoost 9 ?
I'd say try it and see. I have run high boost 7 and high boost 9 for periods but prefer low boost 9 for smoothness.
High boost 6/7 pulls about a maximum of 1.5 bar, whereas low boost 9 pulls about 1.4 bar (see other thread for graphs), so they are pretty similar.

Re: SP3 settings, how many higher than LowBoost 9 ?
Hi Kriszty,
I ran high boost 5, timing 5 all winter with no issue, recently turned the boost down a couple of notches as the weather is warming up and Mitchell said to do this when I saw him at Revo HQ. Last night I cranked it up to high 8 to see what it was like and it is pretty impressive
The most noticable thing is the "punch" you get when the turbo spools up when you are running higher boost settings.
As Dunc said, the lower settings will make the car feel smoother and have a more linear feel to it.
Have a play around with the settings as that's what they are there for You can't allegedly go above the limits of safety but obviously be realistic and have soem respect for the car!
Cheers
Ben

Re: SP3 settings, how many higher than LowBoost 9 ?
Hi to all,
i borrowed a SP3 unit, and whe changed the settings to HighBoost 2 and Timing 7, the first thing i noticed was that the car is running more smoother !!! the speed gain is noticable but not a big improvement, the most gain i win is in lower Rprms.
I think i like it this way the most, so i will let it stay on this setting.
