M3 CSL.
(I'm standard btw)
(I'm standard btw)
Had a toy with an M3... it was really odd.
through the gears up till 5k I was quicker over that he was quicker. But it was a top end run, come 140 I was closing in on him. 80-120 he couldnt keep up.
Flat out from standing start I would like to think I would have had him. 100-150 I am not sure, he probably would have pulled some car lengths. I look forward to a rematch
Had a go with a NEW M5... he only slowly pulled away, but I guess he was not in "M" mode or whatever it is. Had a perfect opportunity to fly round a roundabout with him and take him for a bit coming out on the exit but some bastard in a whitevan cut me up
bye bye M5.

And it was from a standing start, he was behind me at some lights, which are on a single carriageway national speed limit. He couldn't get passed me up until around 120, then he just sailed passed.
I was quite happy when I got home and read the spec of that thing though.
Nice work John! They have always been the bain of my life. My corrado 1.8T melted when chasing one of these... I could have easily had him, instead all he saw was smoke

Just be careful out there as racing on road is a no questions ban even if you stay within speed limits.
Having said that it's great fun, just make sure the person is like minded and doesn't suddenly decide to stamp on their brakes as happened to me a few times!
