Yeah, bring back the wavvy flag at the top of the page for pm's and make it so the pm is instantaneous when two members are online rather than next time they log on ..!!1. I often see old friends logged in but cant get in touch for a 5 min natter.

Not sure what you mean, a new PM pops up a new window.... If you miss that then, I suggest a visit to the optician!! The online status is on a timer, so even if people appear to be online, they may have actually 'disconnected'.

I appeciate there is a timer Phil. (what is is set to 15 mins??)

The old rs246 used to give you messages instantly though (v2 i thnik), with a red and white Mail icon that flashed at the top of the page iirc.. the system we have now holds the pm until the next time the person visits the site (could be weeks), ok so it give you the option to edit before it leaves your out box but I never use that function anyway

certainly the old system was more favourable for me as it could be used as an instant messenger system provided the other user was on line.

I dont use teh pm's like I use to when it was straight there on the tool bar ,lets put it that way

The PM's are 'sent' instantly, as in the recipient is notified immediately. They leave your outbox once the recipient has read them.
