I found out that the gearbox is not included in the Revo remap/SPS thingy!! So it looks like MRC are the best candidate..... 8)

Any MRC dudes on here? If so can you pm me please???

Tks, Dave

The problem I have is that I have £70k of car (when new) and I leave it to someone that has no direct access to the Audi engine and development groups. I have always stuck with MTM (and the higher pricing) as they are recognised by Audi and work very closely with them. Some people are willing to take more of a gamble than others.

Agree wholeheartedly, however and for the purpose of fact finding has anybody out there had their RS6 biturbo remapped by Revotechnic??? Interested to know how their claimed 520 bhp engine remap without gearbox control unit remap performs against the likes of MTM, MRC and the rest??

In brief they used to do a Tiptronic chip for the box but the 'box aren't particularly the best ecu's for writing to.
So the lower rpm torque levels are 'detuned' so as not to adversely effect the gearbox.
When you look at a REVO code through an emulator you can see that they move limits on lots of codes, there have been a few RS6's done with some very good results.
Could always have a manual conversion and have all the torque you want ;)

Is there a manual box strong enough that's a straight fit?

MTM offered a manual conversion a year or 2 ago, they used the gearbox from the B5 RS4. IIRC
Wasn't a cheap conversion though!!!
