Mine was cheap as chips... so we'll see how good it is if I ever get around to fitting it!

How good is the modded standard shift?
Does it go into reverse and 2nd ok?

Thanks

works a treat, exactly like the standard shift but the leaver is shorter and the throw reduced. still has the compliant feel that comes as standard. because the shortshifter kits come with solid nylon bushings instead of rubber the feel of the kit is, in my opinion, more accurate but the downside is it doesn't have that tactile feel of the modded standard shifter

s4tan what do you mean by If you haven't got a DTS already get one of them too - works brilliantly in conjunction with a shortshift stick...

The DTS clamps your transmission housing in place underneath the car and stops any movement of it when accelerating/decelerating etc. especially in the direction of travel. So when you have an s/s too it makes for really tight and precise gear shifts with no "slop".....

Does that explain it...?

@satan dnt u mean stops the twisting effect in the gearbox..not really sure that the direction of travel plays any part..

nope, i don't mean that: When you accelerate forward the transmission housing has intertia, and when you decelerate the transmission housing has momentum, so you can sometimes feel it moving backwards and forwards when accelerating/decelerating.....the DTS stops this (and can stop your OEM snub mount from getting fvcked!)
