Hi Phil,

You can download phpbbspell from http://www.master-technology.com/demos/ ... wnload.php
you’ll also need to download “English Word List v1.00” & or any other language files you might like to add.

I run phpbbspell in native_mysql mode on PNphpBB2 on a PostNuke site I setup during my Subaru days, Have a look at http://www.p1woc.co.uk if you want to see it running on a live PostNuke site. However, you’ll need to register to get at the forum.

If you decide to go ahead with this mod you’ll need to create a folder in /postnuke/modules/PNphpBB2/ called "spelling" this is where you copy all the phpbbspell files to.

The only PNphpBB2 file you'll need to modify is:-
/postnuke/modules/PNphpBB2/templates/PNTheme/posting_body.tpl

Insert into line 1

<script language='javascript' src='modules/PNphpBB2/spelling/spellmessage.js'></script>

Insert into line 388 below <tr><td colspan="9" align="right">

<input type="button" class="" value="Spell Check" onclick="openspell();">

That’s about it.
However, should you need any help then please feel free to PM me.

Kind Regards,

Rob

In the meantime, both Firefox (V2) and Internet Explorer (V7) have spell checkers built in which you can use before submitting text in a form.
