Winter is approaching...
Personally I plan to drive mine like normal through the colder season.
It will be my first winter in an RS4. Does it perform good in winter conditions? I never have lower temps than -10 degrees at my homeplace.

I've always been surprised at how good the RS performes on wet roads given the width of the tyres
Regarding snow - Be prepared for some rear end step out if you power on

BEST TO HAVE PROPER WINTER TYRES IF YOU CAN AFFORD THEM.....

If you have dry roads - it's fantastic, wet road - handle with care, although its a Quattro its not a snow toy.....
Too low the vents get clogged up and the spoiler acts as a plough.
Snow tyres would help as its a nightmare trying to get any traction from wide tyres.
Try it and see.

I might be stating the obvious but any winter driving regardless of car tyres etc you have to ajust you driving to the conditions, i see i all the time up here in Jockland first bit of snow or frosty morning theres always some trumpet blasting down the road only to end up up someones back or in a ditch, or think that more power will get them up a hill.
So be carefull out there boy's and girls

So, I'm from Poland - country of rather harsh winters with snow and frost and not very solid road-maintaining service
. That's why I can count on white roads or, at least, coverd with snow mud
. Winter seems to be perfect time for RS4 - last winter was
. It's time of estimating Quattro (it's possible to show others
), it's time of turning off ESP and feeling adrenaline controlling cars's back, of course it's time to self-control not to exaggerate.... This coming season I'm going to test new winter tyres - Nokian WR. Hope will handle with me, my car and weather conditions as well as Dunlops MR2 did past winter.

Tomasz
