@ Dace, thanks for clarifying - I can imagine that slowing down from that speed on std brakes would be 'interesting' to say the least! What mods are you ruinning for 480bhp?
I was watching vipers two vids and it looked like he gained an extra 15mph round the last bend before the long straight on his second run, but still didn't do much better.
It would appear that a lot of it is down to a good exit speed from that corner and how late you dare brake i.e how large your gonads are!!!

Absolutely....the exit speed on the bend is key and having the bottle to hold off the brakes until after the speed trap. My car is 450 bhp. See previous post for other cars on the day.

Thanks Craig for a fantastic day! And an absolutely mint car Dace, Misano is the best colour for the '4.craigvmax wrote:Thanks to you guys who came along, a splendid performance.
Laser verified speeds (speedos were showing a lot more!)
RS4 "saloon" 176mph
480 bhp RS4 170mph
RS6 Avant 169mph
Top speed of the day was jointly held by a Ruf GT2 & a Ruf 993 at 198mph.

The RS6 was mine, and considering I had a faulty lambda sensor, and an engine management light on, I didn't do too badly - I reckon it must have been in limp mode !
I was suprised that the speedo was pretty much accurate, it was showing 170mph on the dot and the trap showed 169.
I know that the previous owner has had around 180 out of it before....
Oh well, next time
