Excellent summary.. Not driven it yet.. but I had the V8 in my S6 and it is fab.. but it won't quite have the cutting edge for RS fans!!

For sound - just add MTM RS6 quad exhaust - if it fits

I would go for a new S4!

Main because the old one was prone to turbo failures alot and it is alittle dated now.

The new car is much more modern and has never gizmo`s etc.... interior it as you would expect for Audi, top notch.

Performance wise it also is better then the old outgoing S4`s

Ok so you`ll have to pay alot, but you`ll have warranty and you know its brand new....... the smell of a new car.....mmmmmmm

No contest, RS4 anyday.

Guys,

The V8 S4 was nice... But a 10mins blast is not enough .Give it to me for the weekend & I'll decide...?

My S4 Avant MTM was really nice ...& with it chipped was VERY close to the RS4 but ran out of puff around 5000 - where the RS4 keeps on pulling .

Extended test drive on the way for this weekend. Will do a head to head comparison with my RS4

Replacing the OEM cats fixes that...

...but then so does buying an RS4!
