RE: aftermarket discs
Fluff, never seen any like for like aftermarket discs, so unless you go down the RS6 caliper/disc route, stick with the OEM stuff. Maybe cheaper to get them at www.vagparts.com though

ok i had a drive, was impressed with the performance etc the car looked very clean, full service history etc but there was a small OUTWARD dent just in front of the LH rear bumper - i think it had a scrape at some point, the garage said they would fix that, also noticed that the LH rear light had a slight dip in it, only way to describe is if it got hot and the plastic deformed - i only noticed because i was looking at all the gaps.
But i looked at the brakes and i would say the discs all round need changing - all had a lip on and looked a bit tatty - same with the wheels badly kebed so no care from previous owner. I will give this one a miss, there are about 100 up for sale at the moment so no shortage.
this is it here BTW : http://www.auto-online.ch/en/AUDI-RS4-A ... 142-2.html

I would forget about the standard parts, if you want the RS4 to stop and keep stopping then go for an upgrade.FLUFF34567 wrote: i know the brake discs are a bit sprecial on the RS and was wondering what is the ballpark figure of replacement discs... aftermarket or genuine audi????
The german approved drilled disc's are an option, but are fairly costly unless you now someone over there.
RS6 is a possibility, although I would go for the RS4 B7 combo, AP racing is good, Movit better but expensive.
My advice try and get the same front and rear, don't mix, if you need more detail I can oblige.

RE: Re: aftermarket discs
no need to uprate the rears imho.
movit 4 pot/ap 6 pot fronts work perfectly well with the standard rear set up with no ill effects.

Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.
