Wireless Speakers

Post by FatBoy » Wed May 14, 2003 9:01 am

Can anyone recommend some good wireless speakers for Hi-Fi and surround sound purposes ?
I want to try and avoid all the wires that normally come with multiple speakers.
I currently have a B&O system with the tall BeoLab Penta speakers, but I've moved that into a different room and I'm looking for a new system for the lounge.
John,
This is your arena I think, any recommendations ?

I'd agree with Jeff

Although I haven't seen the latest models. But if it's "wireless" to the amplifier, don't you still have to cope with the electrical adaptor for each speaker ?

I guess it ain't powered by radio, nor does it use batteries, so there's got to be an electrical cable/adaptor plus an electrical plug needed around for each speaker, just like a secondary remote base for a wireless home phone, no ?

I would assume that to be the case, but I already have power at the required speaker locations so that isn't a problem. It's all the speaker wires I'd rather do without.
Sony do a system, the DS1000 I think, but not really being an audiophile, I don't know much about it.

Why not drop JR a private message - it's his business after all although John specialises in the top end of the market he may be able to point you in the right direction
