Ferrari Red turns into Ebony Black

Post by Paul-RS » Tue May 13, 2003 11:24 pm

Wooooo hoooo...

New car of Joy! S3 Number 2! Last of the best!

Just brought home my latest toy. Colins brand new fully loaded Ebony Black S3.

Sat Nav is excellent, Quattro lowered suspension feels tight and crisp! and i have a huge grin!

Sad to see the Ferrari S3 go, but opportunity popped up, so i took it.

Porsche brakes to be fitted back again shortly....

Dunc and Hopsta, you havent any idea how good the Porsche brakes are, until you take them OFF! well worth the money

Many Thanks to AmD for putting brakes back to standard on the Red S3 at such very short notice, when fully booked,

and to Colin M for another gorgeous car!

Brakes/spacers will be going back on, as will TT pedals,

will get Cruise control again, and a remap.

Most likely to be AmD . They really have been excellent, and pulled out all the stops to help put the car back to standard at such very short notice...

Plus i use Wayside, and they are not bothered about chips, so even better!

Remap and cruise to follow in a few thousand miles.

Paul, I had mine done about 3.5k miles.

BTW, do you like your lowered suspension? Handling differences? Look/feel?

Also, who bought your red car?

Suspension feels great, nice and crisp and not harsh. Ride height looks about right to me, car really feels solid.

tho i am driving like a granny at the moment...!

I'd be more interested to know how much the red (sorry, Ferrari red) one was/is going to be sold for.

Paul must be made of money - Assuming the new one cost 26k (euro rate is crap etc..) and his old one sold for 21k best (paid about 24k iirc) - (more than 10k miles etc), this can't make the best of financial sense - especially with a new model on its way.

Something's dodgy methinks.

Hi Paul, GmbH suspension is ok isn't it, much less harsh than I was expecting, and much better than on her A4 quattro T Sport.
Black a good stealth colour, not my choice ...........well know fact that red is quicker

Chris, only problem with red cars is that they attract attention IMHO - my old ming blue S3 was largely ignored but it seems every kid wants to race my current one.
