Is it not more difficult to tune, as it has no turbos?

I haven't driven one yet. But on paper I expect it to be faster than a standard old S4, but only due to the power above 5500-6000 rpm. It also should handle better as AFAIK some ex-BMW dynamics engineers helped design it.

However compared to a modded old S4, the new one will fail to impress: Mine has almost the same power as the new S4, but has more than 40% higher peak torque

pds,

Only seen one - at the Motor Show.

Not heard anything from the dealer about when they expect one either.

I am looking forward to driving one though, the new A4 is a lovely car.

I think you have made a good choice.

There is at least one floating around dealers as a demo car. I missed it by 30mins when I last dropped into my local dealer.

Feels a bit odd getting one in a couple of weeks when very few people ( including dealers ) have seen one let alone driven one ....still very exciting though :

I was in my dealers on Monday when their demo model arrived. An american bloke from Audi (complete with pink long sleeve shirt, S4 badge embroidered) drove it into the showroom. I overheard that he rides bikes and has driven Audi pace cars before.
It was a noggy blue estate, he said it was a much better ride and loads of torque. Nice V8 sound
I still think it will not be as good because of the way it delivers the power, but then I am biased
Looks the same as in the pre-launch pictures.

...he said it was a much better ride and loads of torque.

Hmmm, he would certainly know about the ride, but since it has about the same torque as the old S4, perhaps he doesn't really know the old S4 well enough to make a comparison???
