No other option but to sell and have a think.
Ok chaps I think you have all followed the problems I have had with my thighs and the sports seats. I recieved the price of new seats from Audi which leaves me no option but to consider selling on my car. It is not set in stone and I am not giving her away.
RE: No other option but to sell and have a think.
And not the place to advertise it....... try the For Sale section
(Moved from Rs4 B7 Section.)

Dave the first issue is if I change the seats to the comfy option I can't have the full electric options available as the wiring loom is different and will be extra cost. Also unless I use either the existing seats or the comfy option the resale price will plummet. Our friends across the Pond really want the buckets and I thk I can exchange seats and get them to pay shipment both ways. Then I will have to find some one to plumb them in. Not sure what I want to do really. The car is more likely to go rather than the buckets on their own.

Ian,
If you do decide to sell, you could pick up a low mileage RS6 - more room, Recaro sports seats, and some money left over...just a thought... (oh, and did I mention the lovely turbocharged 4.2 V8...?

Shame that........ can always remove it completely... try another thread in the B7 forum without the advert content and it will be left thereSutters wrote:Didn't want it moved to be honest No adverts been in here for B7 RS4s. RE: No other option but to sell and have a think.
Why don't you just buy after market seats, store the original seats, then fit them back in the car when you sell it.

That makes a lot of sense to me - just store your buckets and refit when you come to sell.BRETTCOLLINS wrote:Why don't you just buy after market seats, store the original seats, then fit them back in the car when you sell it.
If this is the only reason for the sale then im sure you can find a temporary work around.
RE: Re: RE: No other option but to sell and have a think.
I've had lots of daft suggestions I have kept to myself, but the after market suggestion is not bad. You could buy heated, electric recaros, sure a few grands worth of outlay, but I'm sure you'll lose that in any sale/repurchase you do and the seats would have a healthy value when you come to sell them.
The only issue that stops you (and I, different reason) is if the B7 like my B5 has airbags in the side of the seat that you do not want to be without.

Think the buckets don't have the airbag in the sides. It would keep the buckets nice and fresh for when the resale time comes...

Sorry sutters I have been looking for a post which another user sold there rs4 after having for a few weeks and purchased new one's with proper seats. I understand in all it cost him around 4.5% to get new vehicle, could be another option for you.
