TT GmBH Quattro Sport

Post by YTF » Sat Aug 26, 2006 6:04 pm

I have been looking for a forum for the TT Quattro Sport GmBH 240 and wondered whether we could get a Forum for this car on this website. There were only 1000 of these made and there is currently nothing for us to discuss the cars on!

Did you try the many TT forums........... as this site is dedicated to S and RS models only, oh and the R8, its not likely I'm afraid.

Unfortunately us TTQS drivers seem to be outcasts between the TT Forums and the S/RS forums..... So the TT forums see the TTQS as an S equivalent as it came out of the GmbH stable! So technically its an S model!

http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarr ... sport.html

Check out the link above... even EVO recognise that its from the same stable as the RS6 and the RS4!

Still no chance of a forum for it?????

You can beg, you can even offer to cross my palm with gold...................... its still a TT and therefore belongs on a TT dedicated site. No insult to you or the TT or any of the owners, spent many hours in their company on track days. Lets see what the other crew think...... :boots:

YTF if you find a TT sport site i would be intersed as i persuaded a work mate to buy one a month a go found some info on the car surfing. Audi Aberdeen didn't even know the front alloys are narrower than the rears, so any spacifice info lake that i could pass on so audi don't balls up any service or repairs in the future

What you on about man? :) There are plenty of TTQS owners on the TT Forum (www.tt-forum.co.uk), no-one considers them outcasts, and with less power than a chipped 225 and the same ballpark as a 3.2V6, I don't know of anyone that thinks of the TTQS as an "S" TT - "S" cars aren't stripped of equipment, so it doesn't follow the mould, and S cars have more than 10bhp more than any other model in the series - again, doesn't follow the mould.

There are a few 300bhp+ TTs around, which might qualify for pseudo "S" status, and hey, one or two of us are looking at over 400bhp, but whatever you think the status of the car is, you'll be welcome on TT Forum, and in the Owners Club

Corporate.... well ok crew decision on this matter is that RS246 is not a suitable place to add a TT forum to........ sorry to disappoint. Have to say on a personal level that I think TTOC has it all covered...

If there were sufficient people in the same boat as YTF, I'd consider a plan B.... YTF, please contact me via PM fi you seriously think the TTQS need a home (And I mean _serious_)

Sell the TT and buy an RS. Join RS246 using the current up and running forums... I assume
