RE: Re: RE: Long motorway runs with the bucket seats
Find the buckets comfortable on longer drives, have done a number of 3-4 hour stints. Being able to adjust the lumbar support does miracles for my lower back. The only complaint i've had is from my wife who finds it very difficult to reach back to my 1.5 yr old who is immediately behind her (other side occupied by my daughter in her child seat). I guess bucket seats were not designed to be child friendly in terms of reaching back to the rear seats but i'm happy to live with that!

I did a 6+ hour trip back from Cornwall on the Bank Holiday Monday and I found the bucket seats pretty comfortable, even the missus commented how comortable they were. I'm not overly large (6ft and 12ish stone) but could see the seats might be a bit uncomfortable for the larger driver.

Day light robbery - Is that just the seats? Are the seats the same as S4?
Re: RE: Re: RE: Long motorway runs with the bucket seats
Perhaps you should remind them that you only wanted them trimmed in leather...Sutters wrote:Ok Audi have just got back to me a pair of new Recaro seats will cost me (wait for it) .......£6,500 + Vat and fitment!!!!

Re: RE: Re: RE: Long motorway runs with the bucket seats
They're trimmed differently - with the RS4 logo in place of the Recaro name on the seat back, and with contrasting piping around the edges (black on my silver seats) where the S4 seats are a single colour.ashleyadam wrote:Are the seats the same as S4?
They feel very similar to sit in, but I think the RS4 seats are slightly more supportive and - the biggest difference - the headrests on the RS4 seats lean much further forward than on the S4 seats.
So I would say they are not the same as S4 seats.

Dave I have the nappa with silver trimming on black think only difference is logo. I can say dave most comfortable seats ever had in any car electric adjustment is great nappa is also good. I'm not sure what the standard seats are like as ordered car over phone so no chance to test not that I cared anyway.
