The Metro was the one that mullered his McLaren F1 wasn't it? From memory it was a minor collision that required a new carbon chasis for the car....or have I confused this with another British McLaren F1 collision? I seem to remember a mini or a metro being involved. Some car magazines were speculating a repair bill of £200K but this was probably mis-informed press trash.

Hang on guys... I seem to remember that it was Atkinson who hit a Metro, but this time somewhere in the peak district. The Big Mac ended up underneath its back end after he misjudged the braking?

After all his "events" I wonder what premiums he is looking at for his amazing collection?

2 separate incidents, both involving ,metros. I wonder if they make him a bit jumpy now?
