Good advice . I'm in discussion with them and trying to get to the bottom of it. Its just a bit tricky trying to find the source of retarding when lambdas maf boost all seems correct. Got other things to try that they have suggested so Ill keep going.

Well as pointed out by Flashy on my post in the B5 S4 forum - I am having similar timing performance between 5 & 6k on my S4 with an MTM chip.

I get perfect MAF & boost readings, just my timing is out. I am getting similar CF readings when logged. Not sure if it is because my car is runing lean, running a bad mixture of too much boost+too much timing?? Not sure.

Seems we have two cars in the same boat! Both with an MTM chip.

hello again. Don't worry well get there, look forward to your 115-112 and 31-3 logs
good long pulls from 2.5 to 7 as Kaygee said.

for the 115-112 "egts" hope I'm right (945 it says) do one good drag 3 rd or 4th . then do a long 2,3,4 to get temps up.

you need to log your lambda volts it will give you a rough idea of the fueling. They are diff 2 the adaption lambda settings.

My laptop is just about on the go again I will do one on my car to get a base ( well MRC chip base anyway )

Interesting!!

Your CF's are far less active than mine, and your timing is greater. Your boost is similar to mine, so I wonder why I get the CF's interfering around 5-6k. I have not done a lambda log yet, but yours looks similar to flashyG's - so no obvious difference in mixture then?? How odd!

An idea...

Maybe the lambda readings are similar (around .7-.8) because the timing is being knocked back? if the timing were more advanced it would mean a cleaner burn and so a leaner burn/more fuel required but the map is not giving enough resulting in knock and the timing being kicked back? Need a wideband up the tail pipe!

How can we tell how much fuel is physically being used? Injector timing & pressure reading? But then we would have to compare S4 with S4 and RS4 with RS4.

Does higher voltage = leaner or richer? Cause flashy is getting mid 0.8v and you are getting slightly less

With Air fuel ratio, all you have is a voltage from the lambda, 1V = 14.7 Stoich.
Multiply voltage by 14.7. Lean >14.7 or rich <14.7. I

so 0.8 = 11.76 which means rich, so its fine?

No not quite.

Using a narrow band lambda and volts, 1v does not = 14.7

see below

.49v = 14.9
.78v = 13.2
.88v = 12.7
.97v = 12.1

So we are runing around 12.8 to 13.2 ish, max power is said to be around 12.1 to 13.5 and given that narrow band is not that accurate I would say we are not far off

RS3 Saloon
RS7 FL best car I've owned. No faith in turbo oil screen (turbos failing) or sticking oil scraper ring causing missfires.
F10 M5 LCI still no rear grip lol
S7 black Edition Too big and heavy
S3 8V FL DSG 310ps, road noise is a joke
RS3 8P Rubbish
C7 RS6 Fantastic car but missed playing
GTR R35 800bhp, too extreme, crazy fast though
911 Turbo Remapped. Hated it
F10 M5, awesome but no rear grip
RS6 V10 700BHP crazy
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 600bhp
