ran 3 sets of toyo T1S
each only lasted 6 months --to soft for a heavy car.(takes corners off)
now on mich PS2 hoping for 12 months on these -- better wear , harder compound, just as good grip but more$$$
would of liked to tried toyo T1R but cant justify what is essentialy a trak tyre.

Ah. Don't like to say this. But. Had some Uniroyal RainSport IIs on my Mercedes C230K on a spare set of alloys. Lowered, staggered 17" AMG wheels, the car had a good footing. Compared to the main set which had my preferred F1 GSD3s the Rainsports were dissapointing.BRETTCOLLINS wrote:Just ordered a new set of 2254018 Uniroyal Rainsports from my car.. at good price too
They didn't grip so well in the dry and considering their name, in the wet they were poor. Compared to the F1s which are excellent that is.
Now the worst bit. Almost added this to the squealing tyres thread. In the dry, correct pressure etc, the Rainsport's in the summer squealed like an American car chase on every roundabout. Sure I wasn't driving like a vicar, but I doubt you do either.
Hope they fair better on a 4WD car.
