Yep - that's what the manual says - but if you didn't change the filter it'll only take around 6 litres (in my experience) as you've still got some of the previous oil in the filter (approx. 1/2 litre)

If you buy a magnetic sump plug, change copper washer each time you do a oil change. After cleaning any debris off the sump plug.

i noticed that. the oil was drained first into big bucket. oil filter taken off, was surprised how much oil came out. Oil was very dark. its been 6000 miles on 5w30.

Anyway, didnt look like the car lost any oil because it looked like pretty much 6 litres or more was in the bucket. LAst time i checked oil few days ago, was at max reading.

Changed filter. Might as well change the filter as its only a tenner. It took 6 litres but didnt quite reach max, then put in half litre, then looked again and read out at max point.

I just asked because i wasnt sure, if all the oil had drained sufficiently as i didnt flush the engine.

Im happy to know 6.5 litres is spot on. Thanks guys.

I just took her for another drive and she definitely feels quicker. Strange that.

Looks like mobile arent messing about when it comes to oil. Glad i changed over from 5w 30 aftrer having most you guys reccomending it. What are the other benefits of using the 0w 40 oil to the 5w 30?

A lot of modern cars use/burn oil by design especially when tight. I seem to remeber Audi handbook saying a litre every 6,000 miles until engine is loose.
