Guys I have driven the car for first time properly in sport mode, the sound is amazing. I can’t believe I've never really used it before getting old I think.

Does it do anything other than delete 6th and hold onto gears for longer?
Maserati GranTurismo GTS Auto, S3 Sportback, TT2 3.2 Roadster, Disco3 for the heavy stuff.

Not sure if it delete's 6 certainly does hold onto gears longer though.

Yeah, you only get 5 in sport. Try racing anything serious in sport and you'll end up topping out at about 145 and being beaten by M3's. It tightens up the handling by revving to the red-line in every gear and makes it feel very stable through corners but it's much the same if you drive it like you stole it in tip, plus you'll sail on to whatever speed your particular state of tune allows. Sport is great for town burns and a-roads and was designed for the lazy track driver, a bit like having an auto in Gran Turismo on PlayStation. Tip is best for those of us who drive in London a lot.

Spot on not sure if I will ever hit that speed in london - does feel gret though! Tony do you use the paddles I find them quiet uncomfortable!

They take a bit of getting used to, particularly when pulling out of a turning, as you need to train your brain to locate where up-shift and down-shift are when the wheel is turning. It becomes second nature after a while. They can be a bit annoying as you may want to change down more gears than the pressures in the system will allow but like anything you'll become familiar. To get the most out of it you need to be aggressive with the brakes. I probably drive mine in D for 80% of the time but when anything serious turns up or I just feel like a blast it's tip for me. The changes are just so much quicker than a mere mortal can make and it leaves you time to concentrate on impportant stuff like staying on the tarmac. It's just so much fun to have controls like a racing driver even if I don't have the control of one.
