If you want the TV supplied & fitted send a pm to Craigyb. He's comes v. well recommended and even does work for Audi dealers.

I spoke with Craig and he said that the TV he fits won't be as good as the OEM in terms of reception. He physically can't fit the same array of aerials as at the factory, hence the reception may be poorer, depending on the orientation of the car in relation to the transmitter.

Collected my RS4 Avant on Saturday - it's Phantom Black and has an RS04 plate ... if you were at Camberley Audi then it was mine.

hi

i tried this at the weekend

"My dealer told me the new system is not capable of linking phones by bluetooth without the cradle.......... bollox... ignition on, press and hold telephone button for 5 secs with your phone's bluetooth on... enter your pin.. 1234...... and off you go.. mine works fine with 8800, 6310i and V3...id's as Audi UHV 5***....."

I dont have any phone kit installed and when I press the phone button the screen says not installed.

I tried the above and cant get it to work.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

simple1 i think he means that he hasn't got a cradle installed right? just the bluetooth enabled kit on the car.

you don't really need to hold anything on the car, you just search for the device and the phone should find it, AUDI **** as previously stated, the fix for this is getting round Audi now, so should be relatively straight forward to get into the garage and sorted out.

Took it as the kit not installed........ and would highly reccomend it as a retro fit if its possible to do....I am going to have to get the TV option fitted, I decided against it when ordering the car, but 2.5 hrs sitting at holyhead Port has changed my view................ :bash:

Another question for the list, my dad thought he ordered it on his but he spoke to the dealership and apparantly you can't have the Bluetooth with the nicer steering wheel?? He wants it on but does'nt want a cradle or anything aftermarket, surely you can just install the software, not have a cradle and keep the nice steering wheel?

You only loose the wheel with the centre console phone prep, if you opt for dash mount, you get the wheel... multifunction standard wheel takes away from the car, if you have an RS you have to have the RS wheel.... :notworthy:

I removed my cradle, striped the guts out of it and re-connected them.. wrapped the hole lot in foam and gaffer tape and cable tied it to the chassis of the sat nav.. but left with two holes in dash  Nice people at Audi have agreed to supply new centre console without phone prep.... under warranty.........cost price £140....
The phone link still works perfectly and the I have to foot the bill for the labour to fit said console
Have you had this done yet?
How much did they charge for labour?
Thinking of doing the same.
