issues today

Post by flashyg » Fri Aug 04, 2006 7:48 pm

This fault has come today It is an ongoing issue it has intermittently come and gone. Ive been trying to find out what it is but to no avail.

I have changed maf DVs Fuel P regulator MAP sensor 246 valve and it goes away but back it comes.

Now it is really serious as im sure you can see but what is causing it ???>>>???? I just dont know! Seriously bad now.

Booked into Mrc but 200 mile to get there, What do I do?

If I restart the car the ecu goes back to normal but I looked at lambdas and wow they were Trimming -25 on part throttle both sides.

This must be related to the issues im having.

Have you checked the F,hose & TBB as I got the same positive charge code and when i eventually found it the TBB was split big style. I also had a dead MAF causing it to run lean, infact Doug acually commented on how lean it was running
I took mine into MRC on wednesday and it was well worth the 220 mile round trip for me

Boost leak, post turbo, probably as metal j pipes meet TBB pipe, unless yours have been welded.....if not possibly duff intercooler or pipe.

I wish mate its running like this on idle and no leaks.
Its like a valve opens, the dvs don't work or the n75 doesn't work positive deviation.
Then the fueling gets ramped up all in one fail swoop,.
Its some kind of problem on the vac system I think but cant understand it.
There must be a correlation between the fuel system and the vac system.
Could be the fuel pressure regulating getting the right vacuum signal.
So what controls the fuel pressure regulators vac signal?

When I know this the next question is whether there is a relationship between this vacuum and the dv,s, if and I expect there is they all are effected so it is this system which need figuring out.

Any one got any idea?

Is it safe to get it to mrc.

good point according to bentleys the vacuum reservoir has a leak detection pump and is connected to the dv recirc regulating valve, fpr is regulated by manifold pressure, waste gate is regulated by vacuum from distributor from y-pipe

there are check valves to F-hose from distributor and fuel breather valve.

it would be a good idea to look through the bentleys manual over the vacuum diagram its spaghetti and could be a leak anywhere through it, there are 2 main sources for vac, y-pipe and manifold, vac reservoir is supplied by manifold
