Pics of my dads new RS4 Avant

Post by joe6886 » Wed Aug 02, 2006 10:59 pm

Dad just picked up his new Avant RS4 last friday so was just browsing through here, good website you have. Anyway it seems good so far, obviously he aint given it too much stick as its brand new, cant wait for him to open it up though. Hopefully it will live up to the old RS6 we used to have, I adored that car.

One other thing, there seems to be some confusion on the Bluetooth thing. He got Bluetooth on it, but it has'nt got a cradle (I assume this is'nt necessary) but when I tried to connect a phone it just said phone not installed or something, I assume it just needs installing and thats it? Reading on here there seems alot of confusion about cradles and bluetooth ETC.

bluetooth in mine doesn't work either.. bloody fantastic looking RS4.. and the aston aint bad either!! hehe.. n

mines had reconfiguration, reinstallation.. and tommorow its due for a new ecu bluetooth installation.
so lets see.. my mates had the same issue, but his was sorted out on reinstallation stage..
dealers know as much as us on this it seems, but its a new model so lets let them iron out the hiccups.. anyway, who gives a toss about the phone.. its the engine you bought this for!! which i keep suddenly remembering which makes my grin reappear!!

HAve to say now I have a few more miles on mine, I am really impressed with it. beat it down an old B road in the south of Ireland, which I know very well, and its ability to carry speed through corners, and not get upset by surface changes through the corners is superb.... and the brakes are just in another league compared to the B5, even with an upgrade.
