Kent and Essex Meets

Looking at the dates for these I notice that the Kent meet would be on the 14th may and then the Essex meet just a week later on the 22nd May.

Wouldn't it make more sense to merge these two meets into one. That way there would be more people there which normally equals more fun and more opportunity to meet more people.

Anyone got any views?

All I can say is that the Essex meet is not exclusive to this site. It is also open to the other 2 forums I frequent [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img].
The meet was originally set up on the old AS.net site and has been going for a while now. Initially it was arranged around this date to not coincide with the other regular meets that were taking place at the time.
I would be quite happy if these were merged but then we have issues as to where it would be held.
If the intention is to have a regular meet in Kent then I couldn't forsee a problem with running the two at different times. If it is just a one off, then maybe the originator of the meet might consider coming in with the Essex meet this time.

As the Essex meet is fairly well established now I would be a bit hesitant to consider changing the dates.

The idea of the Kent meet was just to get the Kent part of RS246 together for a beer....
