I had a similar problem with my last turbo charged car and it turned out the dump valve was on its way out, as it got worse the pause became longer until I finally replaced it as a matter of course and the problem disappeared!
may or may not be related, but thought id share the experience just incase!
Ooops what does this mean.. hope it's not bad!?
im interested to know more about this as few have chosen induction kit route, i do like k&n i have run them on several cars no problem as panel filters, they do give definitely increased feel of throttle response, i am currently looking at the ABD large bore intake with k&n cone my target is 3000-8000rpm good idle , anything <3000rpm is town driving or cruising speed anyway . using panel filter i found turbos spool up quicker but with the cone i have some questions is there an actual increase in volume of air past the MAF measured with vag-com and i presume it will be more than rs4 airbox at 8000rpm, maybe less toque character low down rpm not a problem.. would increase flow out weigh the hot air it will suck in from the engine bay, obviously it will have some cold air ducts to it..s4-99 wrote:I have had my K&N induction kit fitted for about 18 months now. I've had no problems and it sounds nice....I'm not sure it gave me any more horses but i felt improved throtle response. You just have to be carefull not to over oil it when you give it a clean. I haven't had to change any Maf's because of it. I must admit, i haven't come across anyone else yet who has one fitted.BrilliantBlack wrote:Anyone else share Simons view with OEM filter?
