I knew this would be great fun.....well done all for continuing th image that RS4 are all driven by mad men

Just had the Sportec chip put in mine, couldn't afford the sports cats just yet so its now at 435bhp, which aint bad for a stage 1 1/2 (I've got the Miltek backbox which adds a few bhp).

Thus far?

Bloody hilarious, especially the face of the 320 Kompressor Merc who floored it coming out of the roundabout leading back to M40 when I almost smacked into the back of him when I did the same. Lots more torque everywhere (which is what I wanted) - I'm well happy.

I'll do a better write up when I've used it a bit more.

John,

Sounds like you really like it

Just out of interest, what happens when you add the downpipes - will you get a free Sportec remap or will you have to buy another chip?

Will there be another event like this soon. And how do you reserve places on it?

I wouldn't mind a go next time - and I'm sure that there would be others from this site interested too.

Anyone know?

It'll go back in and have the SPortec chip adjusted to accept the higher flow - should be up to 460bhp then.

I don't reckon my RS6 would be too far off 190mph.. would be interesting to try.. I've now had it upto 160mph.. trouble is that you are covering ground so fast and small bends become right angles!

It was still pulling hard at 160mph mind!

It isn't really a top speed run.... It is the speed achieved over about 1 3/4 miles from a 60mph entry. The problem we were having was that terminal velocity, in a brick, appears to be around 170-185 mph. 0-160 ain't really a problem, it's just that little bit more...... YEa.. I know what you mean mate.. evn at 160 it becomes more difficult to push the car through the air...

would be interesting to see what it could do mind, even over that distance.. I don't expect my RS is any better than the others!!, but I wonder if the torque might help?

I guess we need to get another one going for ourselves then? Esp. before Dave gets rid of the '6
Phil/Andy/Steve/John, I know there were about 30 cars @ £150 each, but did anyone speak to Craig regarding the details of running it ourselves?
If we run short of cars, I know some of those there on Sunday would be willing to come along and they were a decent bunch.
Bearing in mind in the afternoon, most people sat on the side either chatting or letting their cars cool down, so we could probably run 45 cars @ £100? Especially if it was better organised rather than a free for all.

Paul I am definitely up for this. It annoyed me all through the day that I couldnt be at Brunters. So proud that the RS246 boys made the impact they did

Thanks, PhilT for some excellent footage.

It will be interesting to see the benefit (if any) of modded RS4's against my car with standard engine on the day. (Unless I have had some tweaking by then)

I cannot do May 10 - 20 though.

Cheers
