i bought mine with about 1 month original warranty left on it and then bought the 2 year extended warranty.

Two reasons:
- In the 1 month that I had mine - the master-slave cylinder went and I needed it all replaced - dealer gave me a new clutch for nada whilst they were in there which was a bonus. Would have been big $ but was covered underwarranty.

- I specifically hunted about for one that had original warranty left on it for extra "peace of mind" - in my case it was definitely worthwhile! So, I extended the warranty for more peace of mind but also - because I may well sell the car in the next two years and whoever buys it from me can take it with peace of mind of having an audi backed warranty - whatever that is worth. I figure in two years the only s3 for sale with warranty would have to be mine and thats got to do something for holding or increased value.

Thats what went through my mind when I bought the warranty.

Hi feeny.....
cheers for replying, ive been away workin for a while like....

so do you think that 480 is a resonable price for a years warranty ??? if u dont mind me askin how much was the two year extended warranty?

i heard fm audi they can only sell warranty at the mo with car sales and not stand alone, this is the same case with vw.

i know the 1.8t is a strong an usualy unbreakable engine, but when they do go wrong its usualy big time, and after me last car i sleep alot better knowing its there.....
