S3 Service Intervals

Post by david7m » Fri Jun 23, 2006 10:42 am

Hi

My 2001 S3 has had the variable servicing done at 19k and about 40k, car now on 56k. DIS says 10k till next service.

The 40k service was also rear haldex oil and brake fluid IIRC. Have also replaced with Iridium Denso plugs every 10k or so :)

When is the cam belt due etc.?

Cheers.

cambelt is due officially at 80k miles but advisable to change before. Mines approaching 60k and I'm about to change it.
M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.

Thats what i feared! What sort of price do you think I am facing? Anything else need servicing at this interval apart from the oil, plugs and oil filter?

Yes water pump and cam belt tensioner. They are a bit plasticky and tend to fail. Not too expensive to change.
