clubsport wrote:David, thanks very much for the run in the passenger seat last Sunday.

As I said at the time, hugely impressive...specially the way the car span up and then afterwards sat there idling with all guages indicating the car had just been driven round the block :)

Guys, I have been to most Vmax days since the beginning, with respect t higher speeds than 174.......

It was a very warm day and there was hardly any head/ tail wind....
the Turbo pork ran were between 5-10mph slower than we have previously seen.

Bhp is one thing, but after a dozen such days, we have learnt a lot about conditions and aerodynamics affecting the cars Vmax.

David, I am seriously considering modding my car after experiencing your car, I have recently bought a proper RS which is occupying my car leisure time right now...Thanks again :)
That's very kind thank you.

There's an Avant with a higher spec than mine for sale just now: http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... ic&t=54488 ;)

David - okay, that makes sense. I thought you were running more BHP (and boost) than that. And the temp.....that is hot.....in hindsight you did very well.....my apologies....irrespective what the conditions were, I bet you put the willies up a few newer high performance cars - as you say - our old A4's....

Absolutely blistering Dave, I think Andiroo on ever pulled 182 with noggy babe when she was running well.

What revs were you seeing at the speed trap btw? much left??

Quite impressed that teh S2 exige did what it did, havent seen mine over 125 on the clock yet....
Too much is bad.

No worries Rob, I was very happy with it. An old A4 at 174 mph, whatever next.

Thank you Gav, 182 hmm, I reckon I could get that on a cooler day with the wing removed, light fuel load mirrors folded etc. etc. Actually probably not, its amazing how long it takes to get each extra mph over 170.

Revs were around 6900 I think, I'll check the video.

Yes, I thought the Exige was very fast considering the wing it was dragging :)
