S4/RS4 Rear ARB Drop Link Wear!

Post by Nige_RS4 » Thu Jul 06, 2006 2:13 pm

I've just fitted a pair of Simons (S4Woody) alu drop links after one of mine snapped mid corner (the OEM links are plastic).

I thought nothing of it until I inspected both drop links and both are showing signs of rubbing on the driveshaft. Now I've heard of these going before via this forum, but were they attributed to anything other than general wear n tear - my car had H&R coilovers and ARB's on before I purchased it.

Cheers Simon, just to clarify, it was the OEM ones that were (or had been) worn.

Your alu ones went on without a problem, but I would struggle to get a Rizla between them and the driveshaft - doesn't seem to rub, but I haven't been pushing it around the corners since fitting them.
