Back on spacers.............
Has anyone fitted 15 MM all round or
15mm FRONT 10mm REAR ?
im wondering if i should give my calipers more room just on offchance of something getting caught in that very small gap, and gouging the caliper/back of alloy.. ie stones etc...
discus...
Wheel Spacers
Re: Wheel Spacers
Someone called JackiesTT on TT Forum has 15mm all round on their TT.
Will different track widths create any sort of problems?

I hope not!
AMD fitted 10mm on the front of mine knowing there was 15mm fitted already on the rear.

Re: Wheel Spacers
When i bought my spacers, i asked about the 15mm spacers, however AMD recommended the 10mm ones for me because I have lowered suspension. Scott reckoned there were problems with the top strut bolts shearing on TT's with 15mm spacers fitted on cars with lowered suspension.
Just a thought for those with/considering suspension mods.

Paul, looking at the distance between your wheel and caliper, I'd say you need 15mm on the front.
BTW, Did you ask for the 15mm ones on the rear or was it suggested you fit them for front offset reasons? Dunc's email response from AMD suggests they like to fit 10mm all round.

Re: Wheel Spacers
Scot advised 10mm /15mm was the way to go.. so i asked for it.
Alex also, whilst Dunc. Hopsta and myself were in reception mentioned 10/15 was the usual recommendation.
10/10 was usually for group buys save messing about cutting the bolts down.

Re: Wheel Spacers
Yes, thats correct - Alex did say that, and then after you had gone Alex said we only put 15s on the rear because Paul specifically asked for it, normally its 10s, which is what Hopsta and I got.
be nice if someone could speak to Scott to ask him what the score is. I dont mind 10s all round at all, just want what is okay for my car (which they told me 10s are)
confusing

Re: Wheel Spacers
Just spoke to Alex, and he checked. They dont recommend 15mm on front, in case of fouling bodywork..
ill leave it as it is.
