H&R Coilover setup for S4 (B5 type)

Post by pj_sibley » Wed Jun 28, 2006 9:36 am

Hi there. I have recently had removed a complete set of H&R fully adjustable coilovers from my S4 (B5 type, 1999). They were in full working order when I had them removed them from the car and gave great road handling performance and a good look to the car when lowered.

These were bought for £800+ new. They are all in good condition having only recently been removed from the car, are ready to fit (4hrs or so by an Audi specialist) and are only 3 years old. I live in Bristol, so arranging to collect / meet would be preferrable as they're not lightweight!

Photos can be provided on request from Thursday evening as I'm away from home at the moment.

£400 ono.

Am I right in thinking that they will fit the RS4(B5)

Yeah, I reckon it would. Assuming it's the same chassis (B5 I guess), then the suspension would fit the RS4. Can anyone confirm this? Would be a great upgrade. Thanks.

Is anyone else interested in this H&R coilover setup before I consider sticking it on eBay? The setup will only fit an S4 saloon (B5). Unfortunately it will not fit an RS4 (B5) due to the difference in rear suspension geometry. Thanks.

The H&R coilover setup is still available if anyone is interested (now £350 ono). I live in central Bristol and would prefer to arrange for collection / meeting rather than sending by post. Please send me your email address if you'd like me to email some pictures through. The setup will only fit an S4 saloon (B5). Unfortunately it will not fit an RS4 (B5) due to the difference in rear suspension geometry. Thanks.

I think the price is putting people off. You can have these new for 650 so 350 for a set which is 3 years old isn't
actually that attractive. If I was you I would put them on ebay as you will get more people looking.

How many miles are on them?

Hi there, thanks for your reply. They have covered 22k miles. Price is based on the advice of the guys who removed them from the car, the guys at AMD and a number of other Audi owners I know. Will probably stick it on eBay by the end of the week if no further interest from the forum. Cheers.

I think ebay is your friend. I wouldn't rely on AMD for pricing advice either ;-) (I think they charge over a grand to supply and fit)
