Hey Phil, just done the maths on the rolling circumference on the 19's - they will travel a greater distance for the same rpm, therefore the speedo will be innacurate the other way

Morning guys.

Yes the speedo will appear slightly more pessimistic than before.

Whenever I have double checked the speedo with my ipaq, since my wheel conversion it has actually made the two correlate more closely.

What you see on the speedo is what you are doing now, more accurately than before.

only winding you up phil

last time on rollers was 448bhp at flywheel 329bhp at wheels

the only other modification on mine is the open grilled wheel arches to flow more air through intercoolers and brakes

my speedo was reading 183mph at a true 178mph not a million miles out

Has anyone from Piston heads or other sites done a write up of the day? And are the results published somewhere?

Comment from Pistonheads:
but I think the last mention here must go to the certifiable fruitcake in the 550 bhp RS4 Avant. The phrase sideways is often used but here, this fellow demonstrated the art of bespoke insanity. I'm just speechless. You need a spell in solitary, my friend.

one of my favourites

"With respect to video cameras in the cars, the shot of the day could well have been your facial expression after you came back from your run in the leary Audi labrador transporter. It was as if there was a bit of a fight going on between brain & facial muscles whether to express Fear, disbelief or ecstasy"

Reckon the Porkers have slightly better aerodynamics than the barn-door I'm driving If we had a pointy front end we would probably be well up there in the high 180's and 190's - problem is that an RS4 with a pointy front end would look a bit stupid

wasn,t as much the speed it was the braking area 400m before the cones then a tight right hander did this on my first 2 runs then starting going through the gap in the cones for an extra 200m wanted some brakes left for spa next week well impressed with performance speed/braking dont forget the RS4 was the heaviest there and shaped like a brick
