quick and easy answer YES, but the TT will be a struggle as will the VRX and 911
BMW 540i
2018 GTR
F90 M5
X3MC
RS3 Saloon
RS7 FL best car I've owned. No faith in turbo oil screen (turbos failing) or sticking oil scraper ring causing missfires.
F10 M5 LCI still no rear grip lol
S7 black Edition Too big and heavy
S3 8V FL DSG 310ps, road noise is a joke
RS3 8P Rubbish
C7 RS6 Fantastic car but missed playing
GTR R35 800bhp, too extreme, crazy fast though
911 Turbo Remapped. Hated it
F10 M5, awesome but no rear grip
RS6 V10 700BHP crazy
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 600bhp

I would of thought that most of them would be a struggle....The S2000 is 240BHP with less losses than a S4 for instances

Z4 is quickest out of that lot. S2000 not far behind then 911. Those will be tricky, others shouldn't be a problem inc. TT, unless it has been tweaked.

I'll stand corrected, but I think you'll find that the 911 turbo in G reg form (3.3 rear wheel drive) has about 320bhp and nearly 500nm torque (about the same as a stage1 S4), is about 100kg lighter, and will do 0-62 in 5secs.

S4 in standard form will therefore struggle. I'm not sure about the rest, but I'd be surprised if the Z4 is the quickest (Kaygee) - I drove one before I bought the S4 and found it very flat and lacking in torque (that was the 3litre)

It all depends on what you mean by "beat" of course - 0-100 in a straight line? and they all have different handling characteristics

Thats good enough for me guys thanks! but will only have the chance to challenge on the way in to work as the car will be up to temp. although everyone rags theirs cold from work, i cound'nt afford to risk it.

this time next year 9k should get me a good 2000 model hopefully. but wont have change to spare for repair so i'll try and get one with warrenty.

Apologies guys completely missed the turbo part on the 911, yes its fastest by a long way. Here are some 1/4 mile times for them. Remember stock euro S4 is 14.1.

911 turbo 3.6 13.4
911 turbo 3.3 13.6
Z4 is 14.1
S2000 is 14.2
TT is 14.7
Astra VXR 14.7
Z3 is 14.7

Thanks Kevin. (a G reg 911T will be the 964 3.3 engine)

I have to say that the Z4 is surprising (which I assume is for the 3litre engine)

Yes it should, however quite a few of those early 964s now have the 3.6 lumps in. I keep toying with the idea of buying one, but it would mean going on a diet!

I also know what you mean about the Z4. I was amazed when top gear said performance was on par with a Boxster S. Driven Z4 and Boxster, Boxster feels much faster.

Surely it depends on whether the road was wet or not?

The old 911 turbo in the wet must be a fun but probably not that quick!

Agreed John.

IIRC, although the 964 first appeared in 4WD, I think the turbos were all RWD (first 4WD turbos to appear were on the 993 as standard, apart from GT2 of course!)
