Pre-2001 Number plates

Post by EuroSag » Fri Jun 09, 2006 1:42 pm

Does anyone know where you can still buy number plates with the slightly bigger pre-2001 fonts? Most of the custom number plate companies only seem to do tacky non-original fonts :?

Thanks

www.fancyplates.com

They may do more than on their site, and I've had good service from them...

I think it depends on the reg number. I agree that some numbers look better in the new 'euro' font, but the reg number thats on my rs4 definitely looks better in the older fatter type. :)

I would have presumed not... But I couldn't find anything on that site that said otherwise as I went through the buying stages, I've emailed them, but perhaps I could try it and see what happends. :sekret:

Until you get stopped...........Happened to me on the M5. Only had one letter moved on the plate, right font but still got pulled and had to change the plate. The copper told me these cars, like ours, are targets for the law!!!!!

Gave me three choices
1. 1,000GBP fine and confiscation of the plate
2. 3 points and 60GBP fine
3 Change the plate and get an MOT stamp on the ticket he gave me
