Quick Shft Kit
Quick Shft Kit
Hello Everyone,
I am hoping soon to become an RS4 owner, however after reading up on the car I noticed that there where some complaints about the long throw on the gear lever.
Can anyone suggest a short shift kit for the RS4 B5, I did find some comments to a company in the USA, but when I visited their site their was no longer any information for Audi only BMW.
If anyone would also like to tell me of any advise on buying a RS4 I would be greatful, I seen a good example I am going to look at next week which has only done 34.000 miles, as it would be good to know just before I go and see it.
kind Regards
Haydn
P.S anyone have any tips on insurance, best company's e.t.c

Haydn, on top of the sticky, I feel it's most important to look at the mechanical condition of the car and have a pre purchase inspection done by an independent party. Have a careful look at the condition of the tires, brakes, brake disks. This can cost you a small fortune. At 40k miles the timing belt change (and water pump) are due. Low mileage is good, however if a lot of maintenance falls due in a short period, sometimes it makes more sense to go for a higher mileage car. Happy hunting.

I have some history on the car already.

Just had all four wheels replaced under warranty
Tyres good all round
Just had a timing belt changed (Need to check if its had a water pump) but I hope if it was done at the dealer it was done at the same time of the belt (I will Ask some questions)
Has Sat Nav, anybody know who's system this is, to obtain a more upto date disc
Thanks

Haydn,
Spend your time making sure you find the right car - the short-shift is an easy mod, which can be done at any time, and you dont need to spend £100's on it either...

Haydn,
You have probably solved it by now, but if still looking the Nav discs are Travel Pilot DX and come from Tele Atlas (www.navshop.com). Best of luck!
