Stereo sound question

Post by Philws4 » Sat Jun 03, 2006 1:26 pm

Hi guys,

Does anyone have any suggestions how to get more bass, especially at lower volumes from the standard concert head unit which is fitted with the BOSE speaker upgrade. The bass setting only goes up to 6 (as does the treble) and the 2 subs in the rear parcel shelf (saloon model) appear to be ok,but it just sounds a little 'tinny'.In the past other radio's i have had have a loundness button which was great!!

Thanks for your time
Phil

The base on my RS6+ Bose system and indeed on the RS4 I had, I thought was pretty good although no 'rude boy thumper system'. It is smooth and pretty good even at low levels. Seems unlikely in a factory wired system but you might check the phase of the rear speakers by reversing one and listening. Is there a seperate sub on the salon? Both mine have been avants.

Cheers, MartynC

Hi Martyn,

No separate sub box as such just two BOSE 5/6in subs/speakers in rear parcel shelf.

Sorry can't help with your problem but .... perhaps you need to borrow some amps from "Spinal Tap" noting that instead of amps going up to "10", theirs actually go up to "11"!
RS4 in the only colour to have - Misano Red | MRC Remap | RS6+ brakes | H&R and Custom Performance Parts suspension |
Huge Grin :biggrin3: If you dont "do it now" you never will.
