Trouble getting stock radio out, speed pulse & illuminat

Hi, seem to be having trouble with the is simple task.

Can you confirm I have the correct keys (Autoleads for Audi):




Can you tell me which way round to use them?!

I tried them, but they never seemed to really latch - how far in do they go?

The radio stayed rock solid. At one point one did latch it seemed - only to the extent it took me about 5 minutes to get teh key back out as it was stuck!

Also, the only reason I really want it out is to find a speed pulse and illumination lead at back of radio as I am prepping for my navigation install. I will be having the panels off near the fuse box and possibly the same other side - is there an easier place/way to find these wires?

Those are the correct keys - they go in with the longer straight edge facing the outer edge of the HU. They should go in until about half (or perhaps a little more) of the shank is hidden.

I had them the wrong way then - that could explain it!
