Wing mirrors gone bye-bye

I was at Audi at the weekend chatting to a salesman about the new RS4 (they have 3 of them), whilst I was talking to him he had a call, it was from a woman he delivered an RS4 to in London the previous day around 5pm, she went to use car on sat morning and some low life piece of dog poo had stolen both wing mirrors. They had been taken clean off with no obvious marks. The wires had been carefully cut as well....

Christ, is nothing safe?? My car is going on our fleet policy with a £750 compulsory, take it or leave it excess. Anything like that happens to me and I'm the one footing the bill, marvellous!

Noticed all the used S & RS cars at Bexley Audi have them all removed when they are outside as they obviously get robbed.

Rob, what do you mean they have 3 cars? Are they for sale or waiting to be collected?

They had a black one that was ordered as the sales directors car. When it came in he did not like it so he ordered a blue one. So the black one was offered to a good customer of theirs and sold and paid for in full within 15mins. The director will have the blue one for 3 months then it will be sold on (like the black one). Whilst I was there another blue one turned up, that is being collected this week and they delivered one on the Friday - the one that had the mirrors nicked.

FYI, they're door mirrors. last car i had with wing mirrors was a 1968 Vauxhall Viva SL90 with a Brabham conversion. couldn't imagine anyone wanting to steal those classy little Paddy Hopkirk numbers.

Apparently these ONLY fit the new RS4 so why anyone would want to nick them is silly. Unless of course they have another RS4 and want some spares.
