RS6 Avant Wanted

I'm looking for a low mileage (less than 20K) late reg (2004 on) Avant. Preferably not Misano Red! Anyone got one for sale?
Anything I need to look out for or be wary of?

Have you looked at one yet or test driven?? A quick check of various web sites such as auto-trader, pistonheads and Audi approved car locator should give you a good starter for ten on the market. The best thing is to have a look at a few of course (although I didnt really set a good example as my heart over ruled my head and I bought the first one I saw!!!! to be fair I had done a lot of homework on the web first and got such a good deal I kept my best poker face and literally bit his hand-off).

If your after any tips of what to look out for check a number of previous threads on this forum... of course a car of that age is warranteed up to the nines any way, so the main thing is to make sure the none-warranty stuff is sound (brakes, tyres, wheels, bodywork etc etc).

Make sure it has an insurance approved tracking device, or your insurer probably wont cover you for theft, I had a major arguement with my insurer with the Tracker that came on mine and the insurer in the end paid for an upgrade to the device themselves.

Good luck and believe me you won't regret your purchase, had a few teething problems with mine but all under warranty and the driving experience far outways the minor problems that I have had.

I have just e-mailed (pm) you details of a 2004 Avus Silver RS6 with 20 something thousand miles on it. Has Solar sunroof, DVD satnav and some other fancy toys .... was one of the cars on my shortlist. Goodluck.

certainly looked the part on the film - fitted with no-cost option 9-spoke 18" RS$-style wheels - driven by drugs barons who didn't want to be too bling !!

I have an 04 RS6 Avant in Daytona with the silver leather. It has only done 14k miles and has new tyres , discs and pads just fitted. I am looking for £43k for it if any interest.
