Excellent ! Then you have to put it up on jacks and warm the gearbox like they do with ERAs

Audi are definitely at the forefront.

Several cars of the 20's and 30's had a button and key. Progress, no, gimmick, yes.

my Suzuki GSX-R1000 has a key and a button too. but there the similarity ends

I thought they may have progressed to keyless go system but it seems not.............

even the damn renault system makes more sense! we have keyless entry and start in our damn famly shopping cart 2002 megane! if renault can put it in a £15k car, why can audi not put it in a £50+k car.. i think its quite bad really.. am yet to even test drive one.. but sounds stupid to me.

My dads 7 series, you stick in a card, and press start, thats fine as they are next to each other, and card is easy. whats the score with the RS4 then, turn key to aux, then press brake and start button? whats the point?

Renault Megane 225 sport, as long as the Key card is in your pocket/bag u just dip the clutch and press the button. It has a slot for the card but whats the point..well thats what i thought up until the wife driving and me jumping out in the high street still with the key in my pocket leaving her in the midddle of the road car beeping and the engine stalled!
